The Kiddos!

I have missed so many updates and things I should have blogged about but maybe i'll catch up eventually. Today both of the kids had well check ups. They are both doing great. Well with the exception of Austin's ears. So here is the scoop:
Allison:
3 months old
10.13 lbs and is in the 17th percentile and is 23 inches long and in the 40th percentile.
She is doing great! Sleeping through the night, holding her head up, and cooing all the time. She is just a small little peanut.
Austin:
2.5 years old
32 lbs 67th percentile and 37 inches tall wich is the 64th percentile. He is very active, independent and assertive! He is working on potty training and doing a great job (so proud of him)! He lost his second set of tubes in January and has had 2 ear infections since then. We go see our ENT in May and his pediatrician said she is leaving it up to him to decide but she guesses he may need a 3rd set of tubes in his ears.
Overall our kids are doing great. I am so thankful that God has blessed us with these two precious little ones. I am also so thankful that I get to stay home with them and enjoy every minute!
A special thanks goes out to Grandmommy today for enduring the doctor visit. Both kids got shots and needless to say there were lots of tears and it was so nice to have a second set of loving arms to help hold my sweet babies who were crying!

Alli Jane

So little Miss Alli is now two months old and we love her so very much. There are so many things that we think she does that is cute and sweet. And Ace, Jake, and I think she is pretty perfect! So here are a few things that make us smile:
-When Alli looks at a bright light or TV her eyes get really wide and open.
-She is very laid back. When she wakes up she will coo and grunt till you pick her up to feed her...but....if you wait too long and she gets really hungry there will be crying with real tears until you put the bottle in her mouth!
-But really overall she is sooo laid back. She tolerates Ace man holding her and picking at her for many hours during a day, all because she knows that he only does that because he loves her.
- She is an awesome sleeper...which mommy loves.
- Our favorite thing is she will work up to sneeze and if she doesn't actually sneeze she lets out this long coo of like relief!
- And when she can't actually get tears out to cry she will stick out her bottom lip and work at it until she can get a cry going to get what she wants!
We LOVE YOU ALLI JANE!

Family Vacation

I love vacation and to my husbands surprise I do love to travel. More than anything I enjoy getting him away from his work and seeing him relax and enjoy spending time with his family and me! We had a wonderful time in Breckenridge. As with any vacation we had a few things go wrong. Jacob's cousin's little boy who was 10 weeks premature when he was born and is actually only a week older than Alli got RSV. Well he had RSV and didn't know it and the higher altitude brought on the symptoms even worse. He spent several days in the hospital while we were there. Also, the relief pharmistist for my inlaws store did not show up do to the company he works for writing down the wrong dates. But Jacob's uncle Mark came to the rescue and filled in while we were gone! So after all of that our trip was FANTASTIC. And lets just say I was spoiled on the trip big time...along with my kiddos. Jacob's Aunt Marsha, cousin Holly, Mimi and Grandad, and Aunt Sherry spoiled our kids rotten while we were out skiing during the day. Plus, it was so nice to have the help with my kids in the evenings when we got back from skiing. My kids miss them and so do I! I will say that I have a wonderful family myself but little did I know that I was marrying into such a wonderful family on the day of our wedding. I love Jacob's family like I am related to them by blood. They act like I have been apart of their family as long has he has and I am so thankful for them! So enough rambling...you get the point...vacation was great, family is even better and as always we are still being blessed by our awesome God! So here are some pics!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

So I'm writing this post early because the next week and a half are going to be busy and besides that, lets be real, I have two kids now and blog time/me time is rare. Next week is our 5 year anniversary. In five years we have managed to buy a house, get a dog, buy a car, have a precious little boy, lose a baby, and have a beautiful little girl. The last 5 years have been up and down, sad and happy, and wonderful. Here are a few pictures to of the past 5 years:

Facts and Funny Stuff

Facts:
- Ace needs to wear underwear and potty train.
-We are crazy...we are going skiing in a few weeks and driving 13 hrs with a newborn and a 2 year old.
- 1 more kid = more laundry
- I'm married to Mr. Fantastic. He stays up late on a regular basis so he does any late night feedings for Miss Alli and tells me to go to bed. And I'm pretty sure we had the best Valentines day ever and it was with our kids!

Funny Stuff
- Ace has a new rubber ball that has cars on it that his grandmommy got him...the funny part is he is so afraid zeus is going to pop it so he keeps it in our mini frig that we keep drinks in. I laugh everytime I go and open that frig.
- Ace saying "you can hold my hand, i show you"
- Me. "What do you want to drink"
ace."Dr. Pepper" (thoughts in my head...YOU ARE 2!!! you should NOT be drinking Dr. Pepper)
- Jacob was laying on the floor on his back and ace was sitting on his stomach bouncing up and down. Well one time he bounced and jacob said "oh that hurt..I think I about pooped my pants." Ace hops off and starts pulling on Jacobs pants and underwear asking "where'd the poop go?"

Just for your FYI: not that we don't have funny moments with Alli but they are usually due to our mess ups not hers...she's too sweet to be funny right now! And here she is in all her sweetness...

In Love

Well it's official. Miss Allison is just fitting right into our family and I must say that we are all in love with her! Especially her big brother. For now it is super cute and she loves looking at him when he holds her and talks to her. But for her I see PROBLEMS in the future. I have a feeling that daddy won't need to run off any boyfriends when she gets older because her older brother will be taking care of all of that. He loves watching her, holding her, kissing her, you name it..he is right there. He has even been really concerned about her belly button because it looked like a booboo till the cord fell off. In the mornings he wants me to put a blanket on the floor in the living room...then he runs and gets her a diaper, him a diaper, and two pillows. We change diapers then it is time for him and sister to watch cartoons together. I keep waiting for the new to wear off but I'm not sure that it is going to. He seems to really love her. Does he get a bit jealous once in a while when we are feeding her and can't hold him or get what he needs...well sure...but those times are the few and rare. I am so proud of him and how he is dealing with all of this. He gave up his paci the week before she came, has taken on the big brother role very well, and now all we got to do is get the boy to wear underwear! I know I know..baby steps....

Success....

Well after being in the house for almost 2 straight weeks due to having a baby, lots of company, and bad weather, we finally left the house this weekend. We took a short road trip to see how Miss Alli would do riding in the car. Plus she had not met my grandparents so that was something we had to get taken care of! She started off screaming as soon as we put her in her seat....all I could think was this is going to be bad, but once the car started moving she was great! We enjoyed a wonderful visit with my grandparents then went on to Jacob's parent's house. Jacob's cousin Holly and his Aunt Marsha came over to their house and took pictures of Alli. I can't wait to see them! We had a great weekend overall and it was nice to get out of the house.
We did have some excitement. After Holly and Marsha left we were settling down for the night when our dog Zeus starting barking and going crazy. Jacob went to see what was going on and the house across the street from Jacob's parents was on fire. There were flames shooting way up in the air. We set inside and watched out the window for a long time as the fire department put it out. Austin enjoyed seeing the fire trucks. I feel sorry for the couple that owns the house but thankfully nobody was in the house or hurt.
Today we are back home and it is my first time alone with two kids. I started this blog yesterday and am still trying to wrap it up! So far today is going great...but it is only noon so I shouldn't say too much. It still has the possibility to fall apart! Well Alli is waking up and Ace has gotten into a bottle of baby lotion...time to go!
Here's some Pics:
This is how I've changed diapers this morning and Saturday morning! While they watch cartoons together!!!
